Visit of the President of the Center for Cultures Encounter for Dialogue and

Democracy to Lieutenant General Jamil Al-Shammari

The President of the Center for Cultures Encounter for Dialogue and Democracy, Sheikh

Mohsin Ukla Al-Aboudi, visited Lieutenant General Jamil Al-Shammari, Assistant Chief of

Staff of the Army for Operations, to enhance cooperation between cultural and security

institutions. The two sides discussed ways of cooperation in the fields of intellectual

awareness and countering extremism, exchanging expertise in peacebuilding and societal

cohesion programs, and the possibility of holding joint seminars and workshops to

enhance communication between cultural elites and military institutions. Lieutenant

General Jamil Al-Shammari praised the Center's role in supporting a culture of dialogue

and intellectual openness, emphasizing the importance of partnership between the two

institutions in promoting stability and disseminating national and humanitarian

awareness among various segments of society. Sheikh Mohsin Al-Aboudi expressed his

thanks to Lieutenant General Al-Shammari, commending the national efforts exerted by

the Iraqi Army leadership in protecting the homeland and enhancing its security and

stability, and affirming the Center's keenness to build bridges of cooperation with the

military institution to serve the public interest.
