Minister of Agriculture visits Culture Center

Within the framework of strengthening cooperation between state institutions and intellectual and cultural centers, the Cultural Forum Center for Dialogue and Democracy in Najaf received Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Dr. Abbas Jabr al-Maliki, where he was received by the head of the center Sheikh Mohsen Okla al-Aboudi and a number of academic and cultural figures.

During the meeting, they discussed the current challenges facing the agricultural sector in Iraq and the development of policies and programs that ensure the support of farmers and achieve food security, with a focus on introducing modern technologies and promoting agricultural innovation in line with the goals of sustainable development.

The meeting stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership and coordination between the Ministry of Agriculture and research and intellectual centers, and supporting pioneering projects that contribute to raising agricultural productivity and encouraging local and foreign investments, as well as expanding training and rehabilitation programs for farmers and youth and benefit from academic expertise in agricultural decision-making.

He expressed his appreciation for the leading role played by the Center in spreading the culture of dialogue and consolidating the values of coexistence and community work, stressing the ministry's keenness to intensify cooperation with all actors from state institutions and civil society to achieve sustainable development.

For his part, Sheikh Mohsen Al-Aboudi welcomed the visit, stressing that the Center will continue to play its active role as a platform for dialogue, communication and building national partnerships to serve the interests of Iraq and its people.
