Sheikh Mohsin Ukla Al-Aboudi Visits the Head of the Kurdistan Region

Representation in Baghdad

In the context of strengthening bonds of cooperation and communication between civil

and governmental institutions, Sheikh Mohsin Ukla Al-Aboudi, President of the Center for

Cultures Encounter for Dialogue and Democracy, visited Mr. Faris Issa, Head of the

Kurdistan Region Representation in Baghdad. During the meeting, views were exchanged

on common national issues, the importance of enhancing coordination between civil

society centers and various governmental institutions, in addition to discussing ways to

support cultural and intellectual initiatives aimed at entrenching the values of dialogue

and coexistence among all Iraqi components. Both sides also affirmed the role of the

Center for Cultures Encounter for Dialogue and Democracy in enhancing community

communication and spreading a culture of peace and harmony, and explored possibilities

for joint cooperation that serves the public interest. At the conclusion of the meeting,

Sheikh Mohsin Al-Aboudi and Dr. Faris Issa emphasized the importance of continuing

dialogue and cooperation in a way that contributes to promoting community development

and strengthening bonds of trust among various active parties in Iraq.
