Sheikh Mohsin Ukla Al-Aboudi Visits the Embassy of the Vatican State in Baghdad

Sheikh Mohsin Ukla Al-Aboudi, President of the Center for Cultures Encounter for

Dialogue and Democracy, visited the Embassy of the Vatican State in Baghdad to offer

condolences on the occasion of the passing of Pope Francis, and was received by His

Excellency the Ambassador of the Vatican State in the capital, Baghdad. During the

meeting, emphasis was placed on the bonds of mutual respect and appreciation for the

role of the Catholic Church in disseminating the values of peace and dialogue among

peoples, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the Center for

Cultures Encounter and global religious institutions in the field of dialogue and shared

coexistence. At the conclusion of the visit, Sheikh Mohsin Al-Aboudi expressed his hope

for the continuation of constructive communication that enhances human values and

serves the path of peace and understanding among different religions and societies.
